Edmund's Very First Haircut

by - July 23, 2018

When you became a parent, little things do matter. Even the smallest smile of your little one makes a huge impact in your life. So how much more if your kids will achieve their little milestone like having their first haircut.

For some and even I (yes, I will include myself) have some superstitious beliefs when it comes to taking care of your kids. And mind you, as much as I wouldn't believe in those, I gave up and still followed because there's no harm if you follow them. So when it comes to my son's haircut, I need to wait for his 1st-year existence before we went to a kiddie salon.

Choosing the kid's salon

Well, in my case, I have no idea on where I should take my son for his first haircut, of course, I wanted to consider how professional the barbers are since my son is a tot, I wanted to ensure his safety and also if I will let my son get professional haircut, there is a big chance that this guys already know how to handle delicate kids. Right? So I opted for nonother than Cute Barbers in SM Fairview.

Ambiance

Of course, the ambiance is really kid-friendly, there are stools with cars and television to keep the kids entertained while their hairs are being cut. The television has various nursery rhymes that kids surely love.  There are also big chairs for moms and dads who wanted to pamper themselves while their kids get pampered themselves as well.

One thing I've noticed though some of the kids' stools are a bit hairy that's okay it's a haircut salon after all.

Edmund's Very First Haircut

Well, he was situated in a car-type stool with the song "Baby Shark" was played, at that time, Baby Shark was the hottest trend. However, he seemed to be a bit stressed out by the vibrating feel of the razor so he cried the whole time. I'm very impressed by how well the barber handled my son. He was trying to get rid of the seatbelt. The barber works really fast and was able to finish the entire haircut session in less than 15 minutes. Of course, for the first haircut, I opt for the skinhead because according to the elders, it will make his hair thicker, who am I to judge? My son's mane is obviously thin that's why I went all the way to have him a skinhead.

Now, Edmund had his 3rd session with the same salon and I must say I'm very impressed with their service. Not only did my son's hair was stylish, I am much amused by how they take care of my son. Though let me be honest, the rates are not affordable- 300+ still, I am willing to pay for an expensive service as long as my son's safety, especially in things like this, are well taken care of.
